São Luís
The little village São Luís is located in the Providence Baixo Alentejo between Cercal and Odemira on the N120-road Lisbon-Algarve, about a 2 hours drive from the airport of Lisbon as well as the airport of Faro and only 25 min. away from the coast. Our house is located about 5 km out of the town and very easy to reach by a 2 km long reasonable dirthroad. Between São Luís and the coast lies the beautiful nature reserve Parque Natural Sudoest Alentejano Costa Vicentina, a perfect place for quiet nature-walks. The nearest beach-town is Vila Nova de Milfontes, mainly occupied with portuguese tourists, where you can find lots of lovely restaurants and small shops. It has a cinema and some outgoing possibilities but only some hotels and campsites. Here the river Mira, the cleanest river of Europe, ends in the Atlantic Ocean. You'll find lots of beautiful beaches, on the river-shore as well as on the Ocean-shore.

Poldreiros
Our terrain (about 0,5ha) is completely open, surrounded by a lovely landscape and view of the hills. Only a few houses are nearby of which most are deserted for the greatest part of the year. On our plot are many fruittrees, our vegetable garden and a variety of animals, a.o. our 2 gentle dogs and 4 curious cats as well as many chicken, dugs and pigs. The distance between our house on top of the hill and the guesthouse on the bottom is about one hunderd yards, so you can fully enjoy a stay filled with quiet and freedom, without having to consider the "neighbours".

The guesthouse
Since the renovation of our house on top of the hill is finished in 2008, the house on the bottom is free for guests. It's located on the foot of a hill, surrounded with lots of trees which provide in the necessary coolness. The house has a covered terras on the site and in the front, where you can often lovely spend your time untill the early hours. It has a large livingspace with tv and dining-table, an open kitchen with all necessary appliances such as a refrigerator with freezer, macrowave-oven and a gas-cooker. The bathroom has a toilet and a shower and there are two bedrooms, which are located a level down, reachable through a small corridor. One bedroom holds one double-bed (1.60x2.00m), the other two single-beds. The livingroom also has a small wood-stove, so even in wintertime you can have a nice and confortable stay.

Price per weekend (2 nights) is 150,-
The price for a single/extra night is (price per week : 7) plus 10% extra charge.

Minimum stay is 2 nights, in the months July and August we only let per week.

Rent is including:
- gas, water and electricity
- 1x per week clean linnen and towels
- maximum of 4 persons
- final cleaning

Not included is:
- extra persons (from 75,- p.p./p.w., child 0-2 free of charge), wood for stove 25,- p.w.

For reservations we ask a downpayment of approx. 25% for every booked week. The remaining amount is due upon arrivel. In case of cancellation, the refund will be 50% of the downpayment, cancelations less then 8 weeks upon arrival, will not be refunded. The guesthouse is available on the day of arrivel from 15.00 hours and is expected to be evacuated at 11.00 on the day of departure.
